    In nineteen twenty one Wood gave information to the British forces and he was going to be shot so he left for Skibbereen and afterwards he went to England. Then the Republican Army burned his house. Before they burned it they took away whatever value was in it.
    Father Murphy Schull was speaking at political meetings during the time of the land league. The chiefs what he was saying. They wanted to get a warrant signed for his arrest. Yellow George and a man from Schull signed the warrant. The priest said that "whoever would sign the warrant would never write again". While he was signing it his hand shook and remained shaking ever afterwards.
