  1. There is a Fairy fort in Coosane. It is called fort by name. It is circular in shape. There is a fence of trees around it. There is an entrance hole in the centre. The Danes built the forts in olden times to live in them. Two dogs once went into Gortnagrough fort and they were never seen again. There used to be lights seen in Coosane fort long ago. The Danes were supposed to be making wine out of heath in the forts.
