  1. Some years ago, the English soldiers hunted a priest. When they had him nearly caught he went into a house in Bawnaheane. He stood up by the fire - place and asked to be allowed to remain there for a while. He got permission to stay. The man of the house said he should go out. He had wheat scattered and the crows would eat it. The priest told him to stay where he was. The soldiers came in and searched the house, but they didnot see the priest. Any crow did not stand on that field since.
