  1. Once upon a time there lived a man and he cut his corn. When the corn was fit to draw in he had no place to put it. He consulted with his wife. There was a fort near thehouse and the wife told him to put the corn into the fort. Then he drew the corn and made stacks of it in the fort.
After a few days he threshed the corn. A few nights after he had threshed he was out at a neighbours house. As he approached his own house he heard the sound of threshing coming from the fort and the noise was terrific. He told his wife what had happened and then said he would go to his uncle's house to tell him of the occurrence. He went and his uncle told him he should never have interfered with the fort. One his way home that night his horse threw him and he was killed.
