  1. I heard the following story from my uncle Con Cronin Doire na Fincin. He heard it from his mother, who was O'Donovan from Castle Donovan.
    Loc Bó Finne
    This lake is situated on the road to Castle Donovan, the reason it is called Loc Bó Finne is there was a farmer living near it. And morning as he approached his cattle there was a white cow amongst them he inquired about her and nobody seemed to know anything about her. She remained with his cattle for 15 years. They were so thriving that he sold away every one of his own cattle. The breed of the white cow were bought all over the country. Every
