    A Song
On the eighteenth day of April
    Our gallant ships set sail
    With Fifty five young Irishmen
    Through sons of Grainuáil.
The landed safe all in New York
On the second day of May
To meet their friends and relitives out in America.
    2.
Some of them an aquaintans as soon as they did land
And flowing bumpers drank a Health
    To Dear Old Paddy's land.
More of them had no friends to meet
Their hearts being stout and bold.
Not my this cursed English dogs they would not be control
Seven of our Irish boys walked down through Grogive street
One of those English officers they happened for to meet.
