  1. Every field in our farm has its own name.
    “Paircín an Bhóthair” is bounded on one side by the public road from whence it gets its name.
    "Páirch Fada", so called, because it is a long narrow field.
    "The Gollán Field" got its name because of a large stone that was standing in the middle of the field, up to a few years ago.
    "Páirch an Tobar", contains a spring well.
    The "Carraigín" is a waste rocky little bit of land.
    "The Bogeen Field", bears its name because a small part of it is wet and marshy.
    “Paircín a' Coille" gets its name, because it is bounded on one side by a wood.
    "The Gáirdín" is so called because it was under potatoes each year in olden times. The signs of the ridges can still be seen.
    "The Pump Field" got its name from the pump which is near it.
    "Páirch a’ Tighe" so called from the house which was there long ago but is now in ruins.
    "The Field of the Cabhalach" also derives its name from the many ruins which are in it.
    "The Leaca" is a long sloping field and thence got its name.
