    The local graveyard is attached to the Macroom Protestant Church off Castle Street.

    The local graveyard is attached to the Macroom Protestant Church off Castle Street. This church is supposed to have occupied the site of (In Pre-Reformation times) the local Catholic Church.
    The oldest dated tomb-stones are
    1768 - Daniel Donovan.
    1771 - Nicholas Healy.
    1780 - Edward Ryan.
    1782 - Den O'Neill.
    1782 - Stephen White.
    1792 - Revd. Jas. O'Sullivan.
    1794 - Richard Haly.
    1794 - Annie Bates.
    1794 - Thomas Starkey. (Revenue officer, probably stranger)
    1798 - Richard Walton.
    1797 - John Neville.
    1797 - Revd. Denis Sweeney.
    1798 - Mathew Riordan.
    The remainder of the oldest are nearly all in the first quarter of the 19th century especially in the second decade of the eighteen twenties.
