  1. There was a little girl living in Kilnamartyre long ago. On her way to Ballyroig School she had to pass a lios. One morning a woman came out of the lios and took in the little girl with her. The woman gave her food and drink and have her charge of a baby until evening, when she went home as if she were at school all day. The woman told her not to tell anyone about what happened.
The girl went to the lios each day during school hours. At last her mother found out. Next day she accompanied her to school. The fairy woman called the girl this time, but she did not answer. The woman said, “We will take your first child when you will marry”.
When the girl grew up she married, but she had not any children. Her sister died, and it is said that the fairies took her as her sister had no children.
