  1. There is a certain pool in the river Sullane where nearly all the boys go swimming. It is called Poll Saighdiúra. Last winter one cold night my grandfather told me a story concerning that Poll.
    He said that long ago the priest hunters were hunting a certain priest – he did not mentgion his name. He said that the priest was running towards the Sullane with the soldiers around a quarter of a mile behind him. He suddenly found himself on the banks of the Sullane on the edge of the big Poll. He looked back, and saw the soldiers in the distance.
    He knelt down and asked God to give him the power to jump the river. He jumped it, and when he landed on tghe opposite side he left the mark of his foot, which can still be seen there.
