(1) Gobs or gobstoned :
They are played with five small white stones. There are “ones”, “twos”, “threes”, “fours
“hands up” etc. etc.
Generally played by girls.(2) “Pickey” :
Played on flags or footpath with a small flat slate or stone.
The surface is chalked off into squares or rectangles, and the players with their foot, jerk or hop the stone from square to square. If the slate touches any “line”, the player is “out”. The player completing the required distance or circuit wins.
