  1. There is a story told in my local district about a man by the name of Jeremiah Twohig of Horsemount Ballinagree. This man was in the habit of answering Mass in Ballinagree church about once a week. One night as he was in bed he awoke finding the room in which he was sleeping illuminated by lighted candles. He was dazed at first but when he looked to the opposite side of the room he saw an altar and at the foot of the altar he saw a priest. Just as he was looking at the altar the priest turned and looked towards him as if he wanted him to come and answer Mass. He did not go and after some time the light disappeared.
