    Of all the good fellows I ere was amoung

    For some that we saw there, had faces as pale
    As if there were standing in Josephat's vale
    No attempt to remain did he make at Cloolcower
    For his home he beheld sure near Beamish's tower
    And all that he gained in that desperate chase
    Was to tread never more in his own native place
    Many times more on that day do I think
    And many times more to its memory Ill drink
    For surely before this such pace was never excelled in a fox hunting chase.
