Local Songs (continued)
“Of all the good fellows I ere was amoung”
(continued from previous page)going just as quick
And we ran him in view going beyond Aherlick
VI
He gave a right wheel sure twas like a sidh-gaoith
Through brakes and through moorlands and towards Lisseenliegh
Right grandly we swept oer the bare rocks of Glown
And such tandem was never heard passing Johnstown.
VII
Carrigdangan wild hills were the next he did make.
And through Inchigeela and around by the lake
He sprang o'er the river with a leap like a fawn
Sure 'be-japers' we though he was gone to Gougane
