  1. In the year 1882 a outlaw passed through Carrig-Creac in the town land of Carriganima and the English army in pursuit of him.
    He called to a neighbouring house in the line he was taking. He knocked at the door of the house and asked the neighbour to take care of the gold for him. But the neighbour told him to be clearing as he did not want to have anything to do with him. He left the house, and, having his parcel with him, it is supposed that he hid it in a rock near-by. As the soldiers came on him they got a view of him and he had not the parcel with him. It is supposed that they shot him.
    In olden time people have dreamt of it. Two men in this parish is succession have dreamt of it. They were supposed to bring with them
