    Soon the priest learned that he was surrounded on all sides by English soldiers, and that there was no means of escape.
    It was some English land-lord who knew the priest was passing that way, and there-fore he had his soldiers on the road before him, they thought they could capture him, and receive the reward.
    Just as the soldiers were going to catch the priest, he turned his horse towards a cliff. The soldiers thought he would be dashed on the rocks below. But to their astonishment he was carried through the air and he landed on a
