One day a man by the name of Larry was going to Bantry by boat.

One day a man by the name of Larry was going to Bantry by boat. His wife and several other people were in the boat. His wife said that she herself would go picking mí-mháin on the further out Géaráin. So off they started leaving the poor woman there. They went into Bantry and got what they wanted. After that they delayed for a while and never thought that the tide had risen.
They started off to her, but before they reached her she was drowned.
