It is said that a bag of gold is hidden in Cúm na Liath. It is buried in a bog by a man from Glenlough in the Adrigole parish.
He told another man to follow him and he would show him where he would bury the gold. The man did not follow him beyond the boundaries of Glenlough and Coomerkane. He buried the gold in Cúm na Liath.
He was seen passing through Coomerkane with a spade on his back. He left the spade in a field. An attempt was once made to get it but they failed to get it.
