  1. 1 Local Old Ruins.
    There are many old Ruins in this part of the country. The most important ones are: Dunboy Castle and the Skelligs. The Skelligs was plundered twice by the Danes, and the monks were killed after a small combat. There graves are still to be seen in the old monastry. The Danes took away all the sacred vessels that were there. It is in a high rock high above the sea.
    2 Travelling folk.
    Travelling folk are not so numerous now as they used to be. Most of them go around on caravans but some walk. The names of some of these are: Jack Crowley, Mc Guinneas, Bill Evans, Joan Lehan, Peter Brien. Long ago there was a tramp going around and every night
