  1. We have lots of old stories concerning Maire Ní Murcada, but this is one about a man named Jack, and how he had the devil.
    Long ago. There lived in some part of Ireland a man Jack. He was very poor, and all he had to travel with was three shillings, One day he made up his mind to go to the town nearby to buy grub
    On his way to the town he met a barefooted woman, and the woman asked him for some help, so he gave the woman a shilling. He had only two shillings left, and as he walked on he was thinking of where would he stop that night. All of a sudden another woman popped before him, and she also asked him for some help, so he gave her another shilling. He had only one shilling left then.
