  1. A man lived at Gleann na Ráth called Eoghan "Buidhe" Ó Murrchadha. (The leas-ainm "Buidhe" still goes with a Murphy family in Cineál Mór.)
    Eogan was a poet of sorts and he had a daughter called Muireann who was a poetess.
    He and the neighbours were standing above the house when they saw a horse-man coming along the old road at Cnocán Garidmóigeach[?]. They were offering different opinions as to who he was. In the end Eoghan said:-
