  1. This was a game very popular locally about fifteen years ago, but which is never played now.
    It was played with five round smooth stones, which were generally found on the strand in Galway, and conveyed home by the parents.
    The stones were thrown into the air, and caught on the back of the hand coming down. It required skill to catch the whole number, and I fancy a larger flat hand also.
