The Parson handed him the jug to sip as the others had sipped.
But Mickey took the jug in one hand and blessed himself with the other, held back his head and never left a seóp in the jug. "Oh" said the Parson "you are a glutton. Why did you drink all the wine?" "Ara" said Mickey, " do you think I would offer my leavings to his honour Tom Mahon?"
"Never mind," said Tom "if you have no objections, I'll wait till you fill it again". I have often heard it said, "never do as Mickey Doodilum did to Tom Mahon and not leave a drop in the jug".
