The comonest birds are the robin, wren, blackbird, crow, cuckoo, magpie, seagull, thrush and sparrow.
The seagulls make her nest near where there is water. She makes it of grass on top of a hillock. She lays four eggs. The young ones are the colour of young turkeys. The seagulls come from the sea when there is going to be a storm.
Some people keep birds in cages mostly canaries, gold finches, and green linets.

    Two for joy,
    Three for a wedding,
    Four for a boy,
    Five for silver,
    Six for gold,
    Seven for a secret,
