- There lived two girls in Longford and they were working for a very rich man. They were fond of each other and one night when they were sitting at the fire one of the girls said "I suppose you would never think I am a man." From that night on the girl dressed in mens clothes and the other girl believed she was a man so both got married in a while after. The girls mother that dressed in men's clothes heard what they did and reported them. They were brought to court and the girl said "I was too fond of my comrade to part with her."
