  1. Once upon a time there lived an old woman in Culleen and she was very fond of card playing. One night she went to ramble to a neighbours house and there were many men playing cards, and there was a pound note on the table. When the old woman saw the money on the table she said she would play. She had four jokers in her pocket and she used to play one now and again. When the game was over she won the pound and she was very proud. When she was going home she met a white man on the road and she said she could not have luck because she did not play fair.
