Mt Plunkett is an old school, and it was built in the year of 1857 by the Grahames, for the use of their own children.
It became a national school in the year of 1859. These are a list of the teachers who taught in it at that time. Miss Lambert, Mrs Ward, Miss Scally, Miss Kelly and Miss O'Connor.
