We will tarnish the laurel" said Master McGrath.
    VI
The hare was let loose in the beautiful view
As swift as the wind over the green fields she flew
Rose gave the first turn according to law
But the second was given by Master McGrath.

Stick foot Walken lived in Longford town

Stick foot Walker lived in Longford Town
Some said he was the leading man,
He always kep a mad ould goat,
For Orange men to ride upon.
He dressed him up in ribbons fine
And gave him word and sign,
And sent him to Lord Lurgin gate
One day for him to dine.
Away pell mell the goat like hell,
The dog like lighting did pursue
And such a race through Longford
No living man did ever view.
