week following, Mick went for practice on the road, and who did he meet but his opponent. So they threw a score and Mick won. Bennett knew that he was the better of the two. Bennett was a hard veteran of the road and he tried to buy the score off the youth behind his backers. Mick however proved that he was an honourable man and would not do such a thing. He bowled again on the following Sunday and Mick Deasy won the score. Some months afterwards they had a re-play. Mick won and he proved that he was the champion.
