When the "Tans" heard what had happened they came to Kilmichael and as they passed the place they yelled and cried after their dead friends. The "Tans" left many valuables after them which were taken by the I.R.A. - In the year 1902 in the Parish of Kilmeen the people of the neighbourhood were alarmed to see the farm-yard of Rev. W. Bell.
