  1. There is a firkin of gold hidden in a bog, owned by Mr. Mac. Carthy Lisnabrinna, Rossmore, it is called "the murder bog" because the man that hid it was murdered, and the money was never found since, and that is the reason it is called "the murder bog".
    There is a light seen there every winter ever since, and every-body says it is minding the money it is.
