    St Stephen's Day he was caught in the furze,
    Although he being little, his family was great,
    Cheer up you young land and give us a treat,
    And if you fill it of the best, I hope in Heaven

    And if you fill it very small, that wont agree
    with the wren-boys at all.
    Sing holly, sing ivy tis all but a folly.
    The boys go around from house to house and get a few pence at every house or perhaps six pence at some houses,.The money that is gathered is divided evenly among them. They keep it for pocket money for themselves.
    St Patrick's day falls on the seventeenth of March. On that day all the people wear a bunch of shamrock.
    On Ash Wednesday morning there is Mass in every church and the priest makes the sign of the cross with ashes on all the peoples forehead.
    On May day morning all the people bring in a lot of Summer trees, as a sign that Summer is in.
