  1. If suffering from corns on your feet it is said a great thing to do is to work in a bog for three days with your boots off. Another cure for corns is to rub the sap of an alder to the corn and then bury the stick. When the stick rots the corn also rots.
    When a ferret gets milk to drink the remains of it is a good cure for whoopingcough.
    A foxe's tongue is the best that could be applied to draw a thorn from your hand or foot.
    A good cure for a sore throat is to tie the stockings that you are wearing by day around your throat at night.
    If you sprain your hand or foot the best thing to be done is to hold it under running water three or four times a day for about five days.
