  1. Bride must borrow something to be lucky. Men dressed in straw visit the wedding house. They dance with the bride and are given refreshment.
    The Hauling Home. The bride was carried in across the threshold and just inside the door an oaten cake used to be broken over her head.
    Married in blue your love will be true,
    Married in black you wish you were back,
    Married in brown you'll live in the town,
    Married in red you wish you were dead.

    Age : 80yrs.
    On Shrove Tuesday people who were supposed to get married and did not are salted.
    Money and not kind is given as a dowry.
