   Tradition that they may be performed with shoes on, for the dead.
   No fixed rule as to no. of prayers to be said, generally fifteen or seven pater or aves.
   A stone was dropped at the foot of the [cross?] at the end of each pater and ave.
   People walked around the well on a circular path, kneeling at a stone cross after each round.
   Tradition that by leaving a rag on a bush there on last day of performing, that one got rid of troubles, diseases etc.
   Tradition that anyone seeing fish in the well would have their request granted.
   People often sat watching for fish.
