  1. The Aughagad Treasure
Aughagad is a village in the parish of Cremully Co Roscommon. John McDermot is a man of seventy years of age or thereabout. He is now living in Donamon, Co Roscommon but was formerly a native of Tonamaddy Co Roscommon.
His great-grandfather discovered a large amount of silver in Aughagad bog. It is supposed to be five stone in weight.
A man from Aughagad saw him weighing this silver (and) before hiding it in Aughagad bog.
A month afterwards the man that found the treasure died and there was no trace to be found of the silver. It is hid in Aughagad bog.
