    The robber came and demanded his money. Egan drew his sword and they fought a bitter fight. Egan killed Dermott. The place is still called Dun Diarmuda or Dundermott.
    Egan was buried in Kilcroan grave yeard. A plain slab covered his grave. It had the initials B.E. and the family crest. The grave is beside the Bishop Burke memorial in the direction of the old gate (N.B. We cannot find it now).
