  1. The game of Lurabóg Larabóg is still played by children at night round the fire when their boots are off. One child takes a rod and as he repeats the words he goes round and leaves the rod gently on each shin but when he comes to the end of the rhyme he gives a strong blow to the last foot. The children sit round on the floor and pull their feet out from them. The following is the rhyme used in this district.

    Luarabóg, Larabóg, Láirín buidhe.
    Buidhe Ó'Neill, Néill an pliobán,
    Pliobán suileach, suile sicne.
Sicne milis, Má 'sé do leas
    Do dhá chois deas
    Is cuir isteach do phéicín
