    In olden times most people married on Monday they would get good health, on Tuesday wealth, on Wednesday the best day of all, on Thursday crossed, on Friday losses and Saturday was no day at all.
    When a man was going to settle his match he got some friend of his to pitch an old boat after him, when he was going out the door for luck. If girls were living in a house where there was supposed to be money a party of men went at night and brought a horse with them. They went into the house brought out one of the girls and put her up on the horse's back with the man that was going to marry her. He took her to his house. He then went to
