  1. There is a place in the townland of Tuam in the parish of Kilgefin called "Clais-an-Cloiginn"
    Long ago when a person committed crime they would go to the grave of some friend and dig up the scull and go to this particular place and swear by it that they were innocent.
    One time the scull was not buried and a person who was passing by found it and threw it up on a bush near by. The bush was called Sheagh-an-Cloiginn. It is now cut but the hollow still remains which is called Clais-an-Cloighinn.
