  1. The Ugly Pony
    Once a upon a time there was a king who had seven sons. He was out one day fowling. He saw a wild bird beating away one of her young ones. His grand adviser was with him and he called his attention to see what was the cause. The grand adviser said that she had seven young ones and she was beating away one to pay the tied. Is'nt that terrible that a wild bird of the air has that understanding that she drove away one to pay the tied and I a human being and have seven sons, why shouldent I give away one as well as the bird. O said the grand adviser it would be a pity to give one of them fine gentlemen away to pay the tied.
    It is no use; you will have to get some way for me
