    Down deep in the mountains there lived a jealous loathsome dragon. One evening after sunset this dragon came into the lake and glidings towards the cave he seized the harper while he was sleeping and his harps and dragged them to the bottom of the lake. From this on the lake was called Lough Crotta and the mountain was called Sliab Cliath Crotta.
