    and they grew very good.
    They most of them were sown broadcast like grain. The people had very little food and they used to make gruel and dress it with garrowwogs and lambs quarters and weeds and eat them. The black fever set in and hundreds died and most of them were buried in sheets and they carried them on their backs to the grave yard. Others were buried in the fields with a few large stones over them to mark their resting places.
