  1. Care of the feet
    Long ago some people wore boots but other people never wore them. The people that wore boots wore them when they were about ten years old. Now the people go barefoot in Summer but no people go barefoot in Winter.
    When the men are cutting the turf in the Summer they all take off their boots because the bog is damp and mossy for their feet.
    I go in my bare feet every Summer and I love to go to the bog because it is safe and deep.
    If a person washes his feet at night the water is not thrown out because the old people say the fairies will be vexed.
    Long ago there was one shoemaker in my district but there is no one now. His name was Patrick Kane but he is dead. He is dead about four years. There were clogs made long ago and they are made now. it is said that clogs are
