  1. Sweet Smiling Carnadoe
    Many a mile I wandered
    Across the ocean foam,
    Altho' my future may
    I
    Many a mile I wandered
    Across the ocean foam
Altho' my future may be spent
    Far from my native home.
No matter where my footsteps stray
Or where I chance to go
I''ll fondly think both night and day
    On smiling Carnadoe.
    II
And many a time I wandered out
At the clearing of the dawn
To hear the blackbirds merry song
    Around sweet Carrigeenbawn
    Or view those wooded islands
    Where some lovely flowers grow
And the graceful swan that glides along
    On the waves of Carnadoe.
