    years. He had a business there but he is about 40 years dead and he was probably 64 or 65 when he died.
    This poem is in every house. The Johnny was Johnny Horan, Clooncommon, Kilmore.
    His descendants live there yet, they are Sharkeys descended on the mother's side from Horan who was the mother's uncle.
    I have heard this song sung at several firesides in the locality partly on account of the author as well as the "Hero" Johnny.
