  1. The Local Landlords.
    In olden times, there were many Landlords in this district.
    They owned farms consisting of a few thousand acres each. They lived in beautiful residences each called "House"; employed a large staff of servants entertained lavishly and then on the other hand they were sometimes very tyrannical in their treatment of the tenants on their estates.
