  1. Scrabagh Races
    About twenty or twenty five year ago an ass races was held in Scrabagh every year.
    There was great amusement and sport at this races. There was all sorts of stalls containing drink and eatables. Amd the children and grown-ups alike looked forward to it for many days beforehand.
    The funds necessary for holding the races were got by local subscription and in this way too the prize money for the various events was also collected.
    As well as donkey-racing athletic sports were also held. In these events all the youth of the parish competed.
    For days beforehand they were on a diet to give them strenth and endurance
