If the swallows fly low it is a sign of rain.
If the swans come up to land, it indicates severe frost and snow and if curlews are heard whistling it is the sign of rain.
When the dust rises off the roads it is a sign of rain.
If the robin sings at the bottom of a tree it is the sign of bad weather, but if she sings on the top of the tree it is the sign of good weather.
If the dog eats grass it is the sign of rain and if the cat sits with her back to the fire it indicates bad weather.
If the goat goes into a house for shelter or if she comes home from the field it is the sign of thunder and lightning
