    Signs of Rain - a circle around the moon; when stars are seen falling; a rainbow in the west; when dogs eat grass; when cats begin to scrape the ground; when soot falls; when swallows fly low; when sea-gulls fly inland cloudy sky; sun going down with a cloud over it; few stars; when clouds seem white; a short rainbow; When the wind is from the north; a blue blaze in the fire; clouds going backward and forward in the sky; when the dog eats grass; when the curlew cries; when there are long white clouds in the sky; when salt moistens; when cement floors become damp; when the crickets sing; when snails crawl out in the road in the evening; when frogs come into the house; When hills which are near are invisible. a coppery yellow sunset foretells rain; when large clusters of insects are seen flying about on a summer's evening. When the wind blows from the south; when a fog falls to the ground. Cattle seek shelter when there is going to be rain.
